1. What this app is
Tirumala Tirupati Online is an unofficial pilgrim companion app for visitors to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) temple complex. It surfaces darshan timings, sevas, accommodations, festivals, daily panchangam, live darshan streams, and curated Amazon-affiliate puja items. All TTD bookings, donations, and sevas are processed exclusively on the official TTD portal at ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in.

- We do not ask for your name, phone number, or email.

4. Advertising and consent
We use Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob may use a device advertising identifier to personalize ads and measure performance. On first launch in a region requiring consent (EU/EEA, UK, GDPR / India DPDP), the app shows the Google UMP consent dialog where you can accept, reject, or customize personalization. If you decline personalized ads, AdMob will still show non-personalized ads to keep the app free.
5. Pilgrim Picks (Amazon affiliate)
The Pilgrim Picks screen surfaces curated puja items and Hindu scripture books available on Amazon.in. Tapping any product opens Amazon in an in-app browser (Chrome Custom Tabs). As an Amazon Associate we earn a small commission on qualifying purchases — at no extra cost to you. Amazon's privacy policy governs any data exchanged once you reach amazon.in. Affiliate links do not collect data on our end beyond the in-app tap event used for trending recomputation.
6. Data retention
- Crashlytics: 90 days for crash reports, default per Firebase.
- Analytics: 14 months default per GA4. Anonymous; cannot be tied to you.
- FCM token: Until you uninstall, clear app data, or unsubscribe from notifications.
- On-device preferences (DataStore): Until you uninstall or clear app data.
7. Children
The app's content rating is "G" (all ages). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The Google UMP consent flow includes a "tag for child-directed treatment" mechanism we honor.
8. Your choices
- Disable notifications: Settings → Notifications → toggle off per topic.
- Reset ad personalization: Device Settings → Google → Ads → Reset Advertising ID.
- Reset consent: Reinstall the app to see the UMP consent prompt again.
- Disable analytics: Uninstall, or contact us to request data deletion (see Contact).
9. Indian DPDP Act 2023 compliance
This app processes minimal personal data and provides notice + consent (via the UMP dialog) before any ad personalization. Users can withdraw consent by reinstalling and choosing "Reject all". Data is processed for the limited purposes listed in §2 above. We honor data principal rights to access / correction / erasure via the contact email below.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced in the app's News feed.
